National Lutheran School Accreditation

The National Lutheran School Accreditation (NLSA) encourages and recognizes Lutheran schools that provide quality Christian education and engage in continuous improvement. It is completely voluntary and is available for every school operated by a single congregation, by an association of congregations, or by a Recognized Service Organization of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod.

The Tennessee State Board of Education provides full recognition of the NLSA accreditation process. In our most recent accreditation, Heavenly Host Lutheran School successfully completed the additional requirements that the State of Tennessee requires. As a result, HHLS has been fully recognized by the State of Tennessee as a category 2 school.

This validates Heavenly Host’s dedication to academic excellence. It is a process that builds on our unique strengths and guides our plans for improvement.

Cognia, formerly AdvancED, nationally recognizes schools that meet rigorous standards focused on productive learning environments, equitable resource allocation that meets the needs of learners, and effective leadership. Earning accreditation from the Cognia Global Accreditation Commission means that HHLS is accredited and recognized across the nation as a school that meets Cognia Standards of Quality, and maintains a commitment to continuous improvement.
